MEMBERS' ROWS

Club and Training Rows

Open to all Members and abilities. These are at the heart of our Clubs activities, when all members can come together to socialise, exercise and develop your rowing skills and technique. Crews will be appropriate your skill and fitness level and will be overseen by a qualified club coxswain. These sessions have been known to continue in the Clubhouse with a beverage on many occasions.

Event Rows

On occasion, subject to weather and river conditions, the Club may organise a fun row to one of the local pubs on the Thames, or a picnic on the banks even on occasion a river clean up expedition. The emphasis is purely on fun, socialising and enhancing the club community ethos.

Competitive Squad Rowing

If you wish to take your rowing to the next level, you can become part of the club’s various squads. These squads will form the crews that participate at various Gig Rowing regattas and Championships around the country and beyond. The emphasis of these rows will be on fitness, technique and race craft. Cornish Pilot Gig Rowing is the fastest growing rowing sport in the country and there are events for all levels of competition you can participate in.
